Understanding Boiler Fault Codes
Modern boilers have self-diagnostic systems that display fault codes when something goes wrong. These codes vary by manufacturer but many share common meanings.
Worcester Bosch Fault Codes
- E9: Safety cut-out (overheating)
- 224-V: Loss of flame signal
- EA: Flue gas temperature sensor fault
Vaillant Fault Codes
- F22: Low water pressure
- F28/F29: Ignition fault
- F75: Pressure sensor fault
Baxi Fault Codes
- E1: Ignition failure
- E119: Low water pressure
- E168: General system fault
If resetting doesn't clear the fault, always call a Gas Safe engineer.
