Ideal's Logic range is one of the UK's best-selling boiler series, offering solid reliability at competitive prices. But the range has several tiers — here's how to choose between them.
The Logic Max (current generation)
The current main range is the Logic Max, which replaces the older Logic+ and Logic Combi. The Max comes with a 10-year warranty as standard and an updated heat exchanger for improved efficiency (93.6%).
Logic Max vs Vogue Max
The Vogue Max is Ideal's premium offering, with higher outputs (up to 40 kW), enhanced app controls, and a sleeker design. It's around £300–£400 more than the Logic Max.
For most homes up to 4 bedrooms, the Logic Max offers everything you need. The Vogue Max is best for larger homes, those who want app control built-in, or properties needing higher outputs.
Our recommendation
The Ideal Logic Max 30 is our most frequently recommended budget-friendly boiler for 3-bed semi-detached homes. It's well-made, efficient, comes with a 10-year warranty, and is significantly cheaper than Worcester Bosch or Vaillant equivalents.
If your budget allows, the Worcester Bosch 4000 or Vaillant ecoFIT Pure offer better long-term value — but the Ideal Logic Max is a sound, sensible choice.
