How often must a landlord gas safety check be carried out?
Every 12 months, by law. The certificate must be provided to existing tenants within 28 days and to new tenants before they move in.
What if a gas appliance fails the check?
Any appliance found to be immediately dangerous (ID) must be isolated and labelled — it cannot be used until repaired. We issue a full report and can carry out repairs on the same visit where parts permit.
